Want a good poker experience? You might want to check out Bodog, and easy-to-use Poker Software with a great set of bells and whistles. Our favorite feature offered by Bodog is the deep pocketed sign up bonus they offer. You’ll more than double you money just by signing up with Bodog, in addition to receiving a reload bonus option.

Bodog also has a good poker education system. Through video tutorials and articles the beginner can learn the basics of poker while the experienced player can get a few helpful hints. The only beef we had with this program is the lack of customer support.

Features:   Excellent

Bodog really brought their A-game in this section. Just for signing up, Bodog will match 110% of your initial deposit up to $500, but the benefits don’t stop there. Bodog will also match 100% of your deposit when you do a monthly reload up to $500. Between these two bonuses you’ll be making more money adding money than actually playing.

Bodog also offers a point system for loyal players. Just for playing cash games you’ll be able to earn points and exchange them for cash, prizes and entrance to exclusive tournaments. You’ll earn points every time you participate in a raked hand. So whether you win or lose, you're earning points.

What is Available:   Excellent

Bodog Poker is a sharp looking site and offers Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Stud games. All of these games can be played with Real Money or Play Money. We recommend the Play Money games for those individuals who are just starting to learn poker, or for the veteran who wants to hone his skills without losing any money.

Real Money games are a great way to rack up a little extra mullah while getting the adrenaline fix only chasing a gut shot straight draw can provide. If you do decide to play a game with real money you have a few options. Bodog provides cash games with blinds as low as $.10 or as high as $100.

We were a little put out with the amount of tables available through Bodog Poker. Although Texas Hold’em had a fair amount of players playing real and play money games, both Omaha and Stud didn’t offer us many options. Although we understand this fluctuates depending on the time of the day, we noticed our top rated sites had packed tables at all hours. This being said, we did appreciate the amount of scheduled tournaments available in both play money and real money.

Poker Education:   Excellent

Bodog takes a more school of hard knocks approach to poker education. While they do offer video tutorials, articles and poker tips, their main curriculum is based on the tables. They advocate short bits of information and then practice. Some of the articles include “Analyzing your opponents’ play”, “Know Your Limits” and more. They also offer video poker tips and free poker tables at which you can learn the bare bones of the game.

In the Software:   Excellent

Bodog Poker is a simplistic program that requires very little effort to understand. The sleek interface gives you a few options through which you can begin playing poker. First you’ve got to pick the game you wish to play; these include: Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Stud. You’ll then be able to pick from a list of ongoing ring games. One thing we didn’t like about how Bodog lists their ongoing games was that there was no listing my blind amount, only the max amount of cash you can start with.

The tables themselves were not as attractive as our top rated Online Poker sites, but they did job they’re intended to do. From the tables—in addition to doing the obvious betting and folding—you can view the lobby, chat with fellow players at your table, view game details and see that table’s stats.

Help/Support:   Excellent

While Bodog excels in some areas, they really dropped the ball in terms of customer support. We could not find any trace of an FAQ section or 24/7 support option. Both of these things are very important and would really enhance Bodog as a Poker Software. If you do have an inquiry you are left with two options, calling a general customer service rep or emailing. We suggest using the phone number because emails have the nasty tendency of being lost.

Summary:

With the exception of their less than inspiring customer support, Bodog has a great Poker Software. We especially liked the sign up bonus and reload bonus they provide. Both of these are very generous and will really help you get off to a good start. And if you’re loyal to Bodog they award you with an abundance of points which can be redeemed for cash, prizes and tourney entries. We also really liked Bodog’s poker education system which offers video tutorials, articles, and a poker tip of the day.
